FAQ's

  • Where can I get information about the Burn Ban?
You can always go to the Kerr County Website and check the current status of the Burn Ban there or you can call the Burn Ban Hotline number at 830-792-HEAT(4328). We also update our website as soon as possible with the latest Burn Ban Info but we recommend checking via the other methods as well.
  • When can I burn my brush piles and other burn piles?
Anytime the Burn Ban is lifted for the preceient that the address is located in, you may burn but you must take into consideration the weather for the day. If there are reports of high wind gusts and extremely dry conditions, it would not be safe to burn.
  • What do I need to do before Burning?
First you need to either check the Kerr County Website or call the Burn Ban Hotline. After you get that information, you need to call the Kerr County Sherriff's Office and advise them that you will be burning at this address so that they are aware. Last you can call the local Fire Department as well so that way they know as well.
